CTEPA is about bringing people together to create critical mass and reduce tobacco’s toll in Colorado. CTEPA has been a thorn in the tobacco industry’s side for 45 years. We’ve come a long way since the smoke-filled days before the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act and Amendment 35, but our work is not done. Tobacco continues to kill more people in Colorado than alcohol, AIDS, auto accidents, drugs and murders combined. 6,500 Colorado kids become new daily smokers each year. One third of them will eventually die from a tobacco-related disease. Big Tobacco is still spending millions marketing to our kids and underserved communities.
